If you’re anything like me, you often get a not-so-fun case of super-dry skin. Moisturizer might help, but trying to apply makeup over a flaky canvas and make it look good is almost impossible. Luckily there’s a solution so we all can have that flawless, smooth skin we crave so badly thanks to Dove‘s new DermaSeries product line.

My skin is really sensitive so I’m always really weary about using new products because I don’t want to break out. When I was sent this fantastic line to try out, I was cautious at first and made sure to read all of the ingredients and labels. I’ve always liked Dove’s products, but I was very surprised to find out everything in them is seriously perfect. They contain the mildest ingredients that re-moisturize your skin and keep it nice and soft, but are also non-irritating, hypoallergenic, fragrance free, paraben-free and sulfate-free at the same time. Could it get any better?

There are two sections to this line — the products that cleanse your skin, then the products that moisturize. I started with the Ultra Caring Gentle Cleansing BarUltra Caring Gentle Body Cleanser and Ultra Caring Gentle Cream Face Cleanser, which changed my skin overnight. Not kidding. I’ve used Cetaphil in the past, but this stuff really made the flaky skin on my face (partly caused by stupidly using high-strength Benzoyl Peroxide on a couple blemishes) go away instantly.

Next, I moisturized. Their creams provide intense hydration, but unlike most hydrating creams of this caliber, they aren’t thick and gooey. The Intense Repairing Body Cream and Intense Repairing Rough Patch Treatment are both lightweight, hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, paraben-free, non-irritating, non-sticky, non-greasy, easy-to-spread and fast-absorbing. To say the least, I’m in love with the results. Not only did they instantly improve my skin, but anyone who uses these products will also keep getting better and better results over time.

Do you need to buy ALL of these products? Definitely not. Decide if it’s your face or body that needs the most moisture, then start with one — especially since the cost can add up pretty quickly. But if you’re comparing the prices of these products with other more expensive brands that might not even work as effectively, it’s certainly worth the money. It’s hard to find such natural products that work this well at this cost, so I already know I’m going to be a user as long as I can.
